This nationally recognized course is led by a certified NRA pistol instructor and includes interactive simulator training to boost confidence and skills before ever stepping onto a live range.

This is an ONLINE class.

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting online course is the first phase of the nationally recognized NRA pistol training program. Designed for new and aspiring gun owners, this self-paced eLearning course provides a comprehensive introduction to pistol safety, operation, handling, and maintenance — all from the comfort of your home.
Topics include:
- Firearm safety rules
- Pistol parts and operation
- Ammunition knowledge
- Fundamentals of shooting
- Cleaning and storage practices
This online-only course is ideal for individuals who want to build a solid foundation of firearms knowledge before participating in live-fire instruction. While this eLearning phase does not provide full NRA certification on its own, it is a required first step for those planning to complete the full NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course with a certified instructor.
Students can start and stop the course at their convenience and will receive a completion certificate for the online portion once finished.
The cost of the class is $95. Fee includes: Instructor fees, official NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Student Packet, Live Range Fee.
Student is responsible for cost of ammunition.
